Not for our beginner and all-level courses — they assume no prior experience. A few intermediate studios ask for a short portfolio chat so we can place you well. If in doubt, just enquire and we'll guide you.

Fees vary by course length and materials, and most include studio access, crits and an exhibition slot. We offer instalment plans and a limited number of bursaries each term. Ask us for the current fee sheet.

Studio equipment — easels, the kiln, darkroom, presses and digital workstations — is provided. Consumable materials such as paint, clay and film are partly included; you'll receive a simple materials list before each course begins.

Absolutely — we encourage it. Book a campus visit through the form above and we'll show you the studios while work is being made, and introduce you to a tutor from the course you're considering.
