Our story
Founded in Paris, 2008
Maison Noir was started above a small atelier in the Marais by two friends — one a tailor, one a textile buyer — who were tired of clothes designed to be replaced. They set out to make a smaller number of better things: pieces cut with care, in fabrics worth keeping.
Nearly two decades on, the philosophy hasn't moved. We release a handful of considered collections each year, in limited runs, working with family-run mills in Italy, Portugal and Japan. Nothing is made to chase a trend; everything is made to be worn for a long time.
We call it quiet luxury — clothing that speaks softly, fits beautifully, and earns its place in your wardrobe year after year.
