Our Story

A derelict warehouse, a borrowed sound rig, and one stubborn belief: the city deserved a better night out.

How it started

From empty warehouse to the city's loudest room.

In 2012, the space at 27 Voltage Lane was a leaking, forgotten warehouse. Our founders saw a cathedral. They cleared the rubble, hung a single rig of borrowed lights, and threw a party that didn't stop until the sun came up.

Word travelled fast. Within a year that one room became four, the borrowed lights became a 360° LED ceiling, and the makeshift PA became a custom Funktion-One system. What never changed is the reason we opened the doors: to build the kind of night we wished existed.

The venue

Four rooms, each with its own pulse.

Every room is voiced for a different feeling. The Main Room is built for euphoria; the Bass Room for the kind of low-end you feel in your ribs; the Rooftop for golden-hour sets under the open sky; and the VIP mezzanine for the best seat in the house.

  • Custom Funktion-One sound, tuned room by room.
  • 360° programmable LED ceiling and full laser rig.
  • Open-air rooftop terrace with its own bar and booth.
  • 1,200 capacity across four connected spaces.

Meet the founder

Pulse is the brainchild of Riley Marsh — former touring DJ, lifelong raver, and the person who first picked the lock on that warehouse door in 2012.

"I wanted a room where the sound, the lights and the crowd all hit at once," Riley says. "Somewhere you'd lose track of time on purpose. Fourteen years later, that's still the only brief that matters to us."
