About Wildwood

For over 25 years, families have trusted us with the best two weeks of their kids' summer. Here's the story, the people, and the place behind the magic.

🌿 Our story

Started by two counsellors who never wanted summer to end

In 1998, lifelong friends Hannah and Marcus pitched a handful of tents on a quiet stretch of Lake Wildwood with one goal: give kids the unplugged, joyful, confidence-building summer they remembered from their own childhoods.

Twenty-five summers later, those tents have grown into 220 wooded acres, a lifeguarded waterfront, and a community of more than 4,000 alumni — many of whom now send their own children to camp. What hasn't changed is the heart of it all: every kid belongs here, and every kid leaves a little braver than they arrived.

💚 What we stand for

The values that shape every summer

Camp is more than activities. These four ideas guide how we hire, plan, and care for every camper.

Belonging

Every camper is welcomed exactly as they are. No cliques, no benchwarmers — just one big camp family.

Growth

We gently nudge kids past their comfort zone so they discover just how capable they really are.

Stewardship

We teach campers to love and care for the wild places that make our summers so special.

Joy

Above all, camp should be ridiculously fun. Big laughs and silly songs are part of the curriculum.
