Why Nook

Smaller homes, bigger life

Every Nook is designed around how you actually live — not the square footage a bank tells you to buy. We strip away the wasted space and keep the parts that matter: great light, clever storage, and rooms that feel calm. The result is a home that costs less, asks less of the planet, and gives you more freedom to spend on the things you love.

Why tiny

The case for living small

Less house. More life. Here is what people love most about going tiny.

Cost less, own sooner

A Nook costs a fraction of a conventional house, so you can own outright and skip decades of mortgage.

Lighter footprint

Less material, less energy, less waste. A smaller home is one of the simplest ways to live greener.

Freedom to move

Trailer-mounted models let you take your home with you — chase the view, the job, or the season.

Simpler to keep

Fewer rooms mean less cleaning, less clutter, and far more time for the things you actually enjoy.

How we build

Built by hand, built to last

Every Nook starts as a stack of FSC-certified timber in our Oregon workshop. Our small team frames, clads, and finishes each home by hand — no production line, no shortcuts. We seal them tight, insulate them deep, and wire them for solar, so your home stays warm in winter, cool in summer, and gentle on the grid.

  • FSC-certified, locally milled timber
  • High-R wool and recycled-denim insulation
  • Solar-ready electrical and rainwater plumbing
  • Low-VOC finishes and natural oils throughout
