A corner-shop bakery built on early mornings, real butter and the joy of feeding our neighbourhood.

How it started

From one borrowed oven to a beloved bakery

In 2008, Camille and Theo Laurent moved into a tired storefront on Maple Lane with little more than a second-hand deck oven and a recipe book inherited from Camille's grandmother in Lyon. They sold out of their very first batch of baguettes by 9am.

Word travelled fast. Neighbours came for the bread and stayed for the pastries; soon the little shop became the place where the town celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and quiet Tuesday mornings alike.

Nearly two decades later, we are still family-run, still baking everything by hand, and still a little astonished by the queue out the door each weekend.

We believe a pastry is only as good as what's inside it, so we keep our list short and our standards high:

  • Organic, stone-milled flour from Willow Creek Mill
  • European-style cultured butter — never margarine
  • Free-range eggs from a family farm 12 miles away
  • Single-origin Belgian chocolate and Madagascar vanilla
  • Seasonal fruit picked at its peak, never artificial flavouring
  • Absolutely no preservatives, bleaches or shelf-life chemistry

Custom cakes & large orders

Planning something special? Our cake artists love a blank canvas. Whether it's a three-tier wedding centrepiece, a playful birthday cake, or a pastry spread for the whole office, we'll craft it to your taste, theme and dietary needs.

We also offer gluten-friendly and vegan options on request. Most custom orders need just 72 hours' notice — though wedding cakes are best booked a few weeks ahead.
