Camille Laurent
Founder & Head Baker
Trained in Lyon, Camille is the keeper of the family recipes and our sourdough starter, "Margot."
In 2008, Camille and Theo Laurent moved into a tired storefront on Maple Lane with little more than a second-hand deck oven and a recipe book inherited from Camille's grandmother in Lyon. They sold out of their very first batch of baguettes by 9am.
Word travelled fast. Neighbours came for the bread and stayed for the pastries; soon the little shop became the place where the town celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and quiet Tuesday mornings alike.
Nearly two decades later, we are still family-run, still baking everything by hand, and still a little astonished by the queue out the door each weekend.
No factory shortcuts. Every loaf is shaped, every cake decorated, by the hands of our team.
We let our doughs ferment overnight. Good things — and great bread — simply take time.
Our flour, dairy and seasonal fruit come from growers and mills within our own county.
A small, dedicated team that arrives long before sunrise so your morning starts sweet.

We believe a pastry is only as good as what's inside it, so we keep our list short and our standards high:
Planning something special? Our cake artists love a blank canvas. Whether it's a three-tier wedding centrepiece, a playful birthday cake, or a pastry spread for the whole office, we'll craft it to your taste, theme and dietary needs.
We also offer gluten-friendly and vegan options on request. Most custom orders need just 72 hours' notice — though wedding cakes are best booked a few weeks ahead.
